NEET PG results to be out by September 30, no update on answer keys yet

NEET PG 2026 results are scheduled by September 30, while the provisional answer key and response sheets are expected soon. Candidates can check recorded answers, estimate scores and follow instructions through the NBESM website once released online.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the provisional answer key and candidates’ response sheets for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 soon.

The NEET PG 2026 result is scheduled to be declared by September 30, according to the examination schedule. However, NBEMS has not announced a specific answer key release date.

This year, the board will publish the answer key and recorded responses for the first time, following Supreme Court directions on examination transparency.

ANSWER KEY AND RESPONSE SHEET

Candidates will be able to check question IDs, correct answers and responses recorded during the examination. They can compare their answers with the provisional key and calculate an estimated score before the result.

If an objection facility is provided, candidates must follow the instructions and deadline in the official notice.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD NEET PG ANSWER KEY

- Visit the official NBEMS website, nbe.edu.in.

- Open the NEET PG 2026 section.

- Click the answer key and response sheet link.

- Enter the application number and date of birth or password.

- Submit the details and view the response sheet.

- Download and save the documents.

NEET PG 2026 EXAM DETAILS

The NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted on August 30 in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Of 2,73,096 registered candidates, 2,65,980 appeared.

The computer-based examination was held at 1,111 centres across 339 cities. NBEMS conducted a re-examination on September 5 for candidates affected at examination centres in Jaipur.

The number of questions was reduced from 200 to 180 this year, while the examination duration remained three hours and 30 minutes.

NEET PG is conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses, including Doctor of Medicine, Master of Surgery and postgraduate diploma programmes.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE RESULT?

After the result declaration, candidates will be able to check their scorecards and qualifying status through the official website. The result will be followed by the admission and counselling process for eligible candidates seeking postgraduate medical seats.
